There are a range of tasks carried out by volunteers. Outlined below are some typical tasks being undertaken or needed. Please contact Emmaus Glasgow if you would like to know more about how you can help.

It is planned that once the Community is fully operational then income from the business activity would make it self-sufficient. Having raised the main capital funds for the building work we still need to raise specific funds for smaller parts of the project e.g . kitchen, laundry, bedroom and community furniture etc.. Contact the Emmaus Glasgow office if you wish to know more or help in this area. There is also a need to cover some of the revenue costs in the earlier stages in late 2005, early 2006 as it will take some time before we become fully operational with 24 Companions. Direct contributions to Emmaus Glasgow are welcome and as a recognised Scottish Charity we can receive Gift Aid donations. We also would appreciate connections for approaching trusts, local and national businesses, as well as helping out with local fundraising initiatives or sponsorships. We are keen to give talks to other groups interested in the Emmaus movement. If you are involved in a campaign, student group, rotary club or women's guild (or such like) that is based in or around Glasgow please get in touch.
